The Story Behind the Images
Who is Yadiel Veunes?
I’m Yadiel Veunes, a Cuban nature and wildlife photographer passionate about documenting the species, landscapes, and behaviors that often go unnoticed.
My work stems from my connection to the countryside. I was born there, where I grew up observing birds and learning to appreciate biodiversity from a young age.
Through photography, I strive to create images that are not only visually stunning but also inspire respect, conservation, and curiosity for nature, highlighting the beauty of Cuba’s endemic birds.

My Story, Content & Mission
Our history
My beginnings in photography stem from a deep connection with nature since childhood. I grew up watching birds, exploring fields, and learning to read the details of the natural environment, which sparked a constant curiosity in me about wildlife, especially birds.
Over time, that curiosity became a passion, and photography became the perfect tool to document and share what I saw in nature.
Since then, my path has focused on capturing real moments of wildlife and turning them into visual stories that connect people with conservation and a bit of citizen science by documenting long-term animal behavior.
What is my content about?
Nature photography and audiovisual production focused on wildlife—particularly the birds of Cuba—with a strong emphasis on conservation and raising environmental awareness.
Experience and achievements:
I have been a multiple-time winner of the most important nature photography event in my country, and my photographs have helped showcase the beauty of Cuba’s birds to the world.
What is my mission as a photographer?
My mission as a photographer is to document wildlife and natural ecosystems to inspire awareness, connection, and the conservation of biodiversity—especially in the Caribbean and Cuba—and to share this content.
